Sola Jr is a stripped down version of the Sola while the Art Series features unique, hand painted artwork.
Repairs
I also undertake all kinds of guitar repairs. From string changes and setups (yes, including Floyd Roses!), to partial refrets, pickup installs, refinish jobs, and even neck breakages and electrical issues. If you read my Google reviews you’ll find that some people report their guitar never felt or played so well since having a Burman Guitars setup. And that’s what I like to hear. Happy customers make me happy!
The Story
I’d been playing guitar for a few years, and had a dream of building my own. Brian May had done it – how hard could it be?!
It wasn’t long before I found out!
So I visited the library (yes, it was that long ago), bought a copy of Melvyn Hiscock’s book How to Build an Electric Guitar, and headed to my art school woodshop with an armful of lumber. I still have that guitar, and it still plays well, but I had been bitten by the bug.
Friends started bringing me their guitars to repair, and I built more guitars. As a result I had to move into a bigger workshop, and here I am, in the middle of rural Suffolk.
