A demo of my single cut design, Sola. That single Sunbear 56 SB90 does everything from bright and raunchy to warm and mellow. Here are a few clean and overdriven tones to give you an idea of what Sola is capable of.
KANTO DEMO
My double cut design, Kanto, with Sunbear Sweet 59 Transition pickups, ash body and 3 way switch. The middle knob is a volume for the middle pickup while the 3 way switch selects the neck and/or bridge pickups, opening up a huge variety of sounds.
REALITY TRIBUTE GUITAR DEMO
Designed as a tribute to David Bowie’s last tour, The Reality Tribute guitar has features that appeal to both Bowie fan and guitarist alike.
The artwork is inspired by the Reality album cover, using digital and hard applied shapes, designs and other art marks that seek to reflect the eclectic and decade-spanning aspects of the music. The Bowie figure in the centre has been modified to represent the outfit that he wore on the tour – black jacket, black t shirt and red neck tie. The design of the guitar itself is a combination of the one he played on the Reality tour and an original design, using mahogany for the body and maple for the neck.
At the heart of the sound is a pair of handwound, bespoke pickups made specifically for this guitar by Sunbear Pickups. Capturing the tone and attitude of the original Supro pickups, the rod magnet single coils sound like no other, falling somewhere between a P90 and Telecaster pickup – punchy, rich, raw and exciting. The two volumes and two tone controls help you setup the guitar the way you want, and make it really versatile.
